    LOS ANGELES  –  The America’s Family Pet Expo returns to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa (88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa 92626) Friday, April 28 – Sunday, April 30, 2017. All creatures great and small, from four legged to flying, will all be on display at the annual family-friendly event.

    “The Pet Expo is now in its 28th year and we couldn’t be more excited.  Offering education on responsible pet care, entertainment, and pet adoptions, The Pet Expo is the ultimate destination for all pet lovers,” said Doug Poindexter, President of the World Pet Association, producers of the America’s Family Pet Expo.  “Each year the show progresses to include the best in pet ownership and care.  We will continue to offer a variety of educational presentations, product launches, amazing pet acts and our popular animal adoptions, as well as showcasing the latest trends in the pet care industry.”

    America’s Family Pet Expo Celebrates Record Breaking Attendance

    Thousands of Pet Lovers Made the America’s Family Pet Expo their weekend destination as the 27th Annual Expo was held at the OC Fair & Event Center

    ORANGE COUNTY, CA – (April 28, 2016) Official attendance numbers have been reported and show organizers enthusiastically report that more than 47,000 guests visited the America’s Family Pet Expo (AFPE), held April 22-24, 2016 at the OC Fair & Event Center, showing a 4% increase from 2015. In addition, nearly 600 dogs, cats – and even a few rabbits - were adopted into “forever homes” from AFPE’s Southern California animal rescue partner organizations. Additionally, approximately 130 of those adoptable animals received complimentary grooming from California groomers who volunteer their time.

    “Every year, our goal is to offer new and exciting features to the show, while keeping in line with our mission of promoting responsible pet care,” says Doug Poindexter, President of the World Pet Association, producers of the America’s Family Pet Expo. “We want every year to be a unique interactive and educational experience for our guests.”

    More than 475 exhibitors at the Expo showcased the latest in pet products and pet trends, from mid-century Modern cat furniture, architecturally-inspired custom dog houses, must-have accessories such as a jeweled dog collars, colorful cat bow-ties to pet outfits perfect for any occasion, the Pet Expo defined itself as a one-stop destination for consumers to purchase specialty items for their pet.
